Principal’s Message

Welcome to the website of Presidency School, Bangalore East. Here you can browse through our website, find out how to join us, and also learn about life in Presidency School, Kasturinagar.

Established in June 2008, Presidency School, Kasturinagar, or Presidency Bangalore East is the way we would like it to be called, has been a selective school throughout its history of development, drawing students in and around Bangalore East and now touching a total strength of 2200 students!

The school has a proud tradition of academic, cultural and sporting excellence. As an academically selective school, we aim to develop and maintain the highest possible standards in student learning.

At the same time, however, we acknowledge that our students bring with them many talents besides their academic capacity, and recognise that they often have immense energy, enthusiasm and initiative. We provide innumerable opportunities for them to participate in a wide range of sporting and co-curricular pursuits and encourage them to join in community outreach activities beyond school.

The school’s motto is ‘Gain More Knowledge Reach Greater Heights’. The motto and the school’s ethos promote self-motivation, responsibility for one’s own direction, and a constant strive for self-improvement. Progress at the school depends on willingness to pursue excellence in studies and other activities. Satisfaction, enjoyment and fulfilment are to be found in working at levels commensurate with high ability in particular, in a strong scholastic, sporting and cultural programme. The happiest and most successful students are those with good motivation and those who take pride in doing things well rather than simply being competitive, and the school provides a wealth of leadership and other opportunities for those who are prepared to take the initiative and accept the challenge.

The school is well equipped with facilities including a Multi-purpose IT integrated Hall, Basket Ball court, Volley Ball court, Space for Badminton, Cricket Practice net, Tennis half court, Theatre and drama space, computer rooms, Science laboratories , LCD TV display, art rooms, K.G. Play area, spacious library, to name a few. Other facilities in the pipeline are Western and Hindustani music laboratory, Language Lab, AV room with interactive Board, fitness facility, music rehearsal space, canteen, stationery shop, Clay Modelling workplace and a resource room.

The teaching faculty comprises of over 130 members including Vice Principal, Academic Co-ordinators, Department Heads and classroom teachers. The co-curricular activities are ably handled by dedicated teachers for Art, Music, Dance, Yoga and Band supervised by cultural and sports co-ordinators. There is a two teacher arrangement in each section at the pre-primary level. The school is supported by the administrative staff and the support staff with a supervisor.

The co-curricular programme is one we are proud of with an extensive creative and performing arts programme.
The school enjoys a strong network of support from the parents, the community and constant connectivity with the group of Presidency Schools.

I recommend this wonderful school as a fine example of young men/women being encouraged to develop their full potential within a network of support that allows them to do so.
